So last year my christmas knitting got interrupted when my house was broken into on the 20th and then I got laid off from my job on the 29th. This year… I’ve got the flu. I’ve been in bed for three days and have been utterly miserable. Obviously no knitting has been done. I’ve already told my sister that her birthday gift (her birthday is the 20th) will be late because I was going to mail it Saturday and then got sick… and that her Christmas gift isn’t done yet because I haven’t been able to knit for several days. Wouldn’t want to puke on the Alpaca… LOL She’s told me though that my gift will be late too so it’s all good. The person I’m making socks for… yeah, she’s going to get the yarn cake to look at and then I’ll take it back so I can knit the socks for her. Any other knitted stuff that I considered making… so not going to happen. It’ll be the usual Christmas Eve shopping extravaganza with my mom again. 🙂 We always have fun that day anyway.
I think I’ve met my sitting up quota for the hour… I’m going back to lay down. If I don’t post again until Christmas…. Merry Christmas!!
Oof. I can always tell when I’m REALLY sick because I can’t knit.
Rest up so you can enjoy the holidays (stress free, since the knitting deadline has been eliminated!).
Oh, Kellie, get better soon. Are you drinking enough fluids? Water, OJ, and tea are your friends. No heavy foods either. Oh, poor thing.
Thanks, Sarah… I appreciate the love. 🙂
Thanks to you too, Miss Kelli! I’m keeping up the fluids and the bland soups… no tea though… tea is like dirty water to me. hehe.
Oh CRAP!
I think I may end up in the same boat. I seem to be relapsing. I was getting back to 100% and this morning I woke up with a sore throat. Nice….
You get better, like everyone said, keep up the fluid intake and lots of vitamins.
