I work in a hospital and I don't see how some pt's families sit for hours on end with nothing in their hands. We had an incident a couple of years ago where Mr. Larj was having chest pains and wanted to go to the ER. As we were leaving out of the house I said "wait" and ran to grab my knitting bag! LOL! Of course it turned out to be nothing but one of the nurses made a comment of "that's smart" when she saw me working on a scarf as he was waiting to get checked out. Hope your Grandpa is OK. Usually they'll put pt's on a Lasix drip to get rid of all that fluid and they're right as rain. I agree totally.
